A LOTTERY winner has described the incredible moment he called his friend to let him know they had scooped a whopping £16million jackpot.
The staggering lotto prize was claimed by a group of eight golfer friends in their 40s in Western Australia.

They all found out about their £16million ($30million) win – split between them – while having dinner after the ticket holder rang them to tell them the good news.
But not everyone had the reaction he was expecting.
He told Lotto officials: “I started making calls to the rest of the group to tell them we’d won.

Lotterywest chief executive Ralph Addis said in a statement: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome yet another big win for WA, only a few weeks after celebrating a Swan Valley family taking home £21.4million ($40million) in Powerball.
“The WA community is also a winner following tonight’s draw, with more than £2.27million ($4.23million) raised thanks to players over the five-week jackpot roll which will contribute to our grants program.”
Another woman was left stunned when she realised she had actually won the jackpot and not the £269 she initially thought.
