WAGNER leader warned if Ukraine goes ahead with the planned spring counteroffensive, it is more likely to succeed as Russia finds itself in a “crisis.”

Yevgeny Prigozhin said that a “deep state” of selfish independent top officials are at code red due to the military’s “failures to secure a victory quickly.”

He defined these top officials as “near-state elites that operate independently of the political leadership of the state and have close ties and their own agenda” of getting in the way of Russia‘s success.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) added that Prigozhin believes that “internal enemies” will force the Kremlin to take serious action such as return occupied territory to Ukraine and insisted that Russia can’t stop fighting now.

The US think tank said: “Prigozhin explicitly rejected the notion of any negotiations to end the war and urged Russians to continue fighting, even if it results in Russia’s temporary defeat.”
