SNOOPY might have some new competition after a real-life lookalike has taken over social media for her striking resemblance to the famous cartoon dog.

Bayley, who has more than 224,000 followers on Instagram as of Friday (April 14), gained her fame earlier in the week after Doodles Dog Club claimed she was going viral as Snoopy’s twin.
The account, @bailey.sheepadoodle, shares the pooch’s daily life based in the United States, with an overload of adorable pictures and videos with a couple even featuring some Snoopy GIFs and stickers.
Bayley’s online profile revealed she is a two-year-old dog, celebrating her birthday on May 4.
On Tuesday (April 11), Bayley’s owners celebrated National Pet Day by sharing a video of her giving her paw.
The caption read: “Happy National Pet Day. Mom says I am the cutest pet she has ever seen but to be fair, I am her first and the only furbaby.”
The post was then flooded with comments from Snoopy and puppy fans alike, one of them reading: “Snoopy! You’re real!”
Another commented: “Snoooooopy!!! Where’s Charlie Brown?!? Awwwwwww! I think l’m in love.”
A third one wrote: “You got Snoopy and it’s not fair we all want Snoopy.”
The American pooch is a mix between an Old English Sheepdog and a Mini Poodle, a breed that can have an average height of 20 inches and can weigh up to 45 pounds, according to dog adoption agency Premier Pups.
Pets website helloBARK! describes the breed as affectionate dogs that do not take long to become attached to their owners. They are also a popular choice for families as these sweet dogs are usually gentle and patient with children.
Despite the uncanny similarity, Snoopy is actually a beagle.
The iconic character originally rose to fame when he debuted in the “Peanuts” comic strip in 1950, and was later animated in television, films, and a flagship balloon every year in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
